Date With the Dad

Midterms are coming up and for my assignment I needed to go to the U of U Fine Arts Museum.  I also have to go to a cultural event and watch a foreign film for this same class.  Not that it isn't fun to go to these things alone but... a boyfriend sure would come in handy right about now.  However lucky me I have an awesome Dad that I can always count on!  It took a while to find the museum on campus but you know that was just more bonding time.  And lucky us it was free that day!  So it ended up being an even better daddy daughter date!
This was one of my favorite pieces at the museum.  Luckily I could take pictures there. This helped with two of my assignments! I have been meaning to take pictures and get some inspiration for my Fashion Illustration class. Dad has lots of idea's for that assignment! He's just as good at dreaming up dress ideas as I am!  Like Mom always says we don't realize what a cleaver Father we have!
Here is another example of our Dads cleverness :) He's so photogenic!
Here was an abnormally large necklace I believe.. It was pretty cool it was made out of fabric and sewn together.
Here is how cleaver I am! Chunky monkey! Well elephant.... (Yes I do know my animals chunky monkey just flows better.)
Speaking of monkeys this was one of mine and Dads favorites.  Chunky monkey's hi hoeing away.
Such a strapping fellow you see.
And of course what's a museum without mummies.  Written all over this coffin was a prayer to grant the man who was buried in this what ever he needed in the afterlife.  I thought that was pretty awesome.
Then here are just some more of some of the things I thought were cool at the museum.  They had an exhibit called Horizon.  It was all books which reminded me of a few certain family members.  (You know who you are!) It was the artists point of view on what is Horizon.

It's always amazing to see what people can create. Can you guess what this was made out of??

Tires.  How cool is that?

Well now that I have made you all jealous, thank you for coming on our tour of the U of U Fine Arts Museum. Have a nice day! :)
