When I grow up I want to be a DJ

This past week I got to DJ my wards barn dance. It's a dance that they have every year at this barn where we go have fun and dance. Unfortunately they all wanted country music which I'm not a big fan of. But I still played hip hop anyways :) I don't think they minded too much.I had Laura come help me and be in charge of the country music.

I managed to offend one person. I thought I would get into trouble for a hip hop song because usually country songs are good songs. There aren't very many vulgar inappropriate country songs. I even read all the lyrics to the hip hop songs to make sure they were ok. Someone requested Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy by Big & Rich so I played it. Everyone went out and started doing a line dance and were singing along to it. Except for one person. She'll remain anonymous. Anonymous came up to me and told me this song was so inappropriate and she couldn't believe I would play it. She even wagged her finger at me. I haven't had anyone wag their finger at me since I was in 6th grade! So she left then came back for more when the song ended. She told me that she didn't come to be "accosted of Satan"! She said some other things too but I don't remember what she said because I was busy thinking about what "accosted" meant. Here's what it means:

1. Approach and address (someone) boldly or aggressively.

2. Approach (someone) with hostility or harmful intent.

Apparently I work for the Devil. So beware.She even told the Bishop on me. All I have to say is, I'm sorry. But seriously woman! Chill out!!! My roommates Jill and AnnaLynne were there with me. They couldn't believe she'd freak out either. It's just a song.

As you can see not very many people showed but we still had a blast. Not a bad turnout.

Oh and I'm going to be mean. But I think my favorite part of the dance is when Anonymous sort of fell through the floor. One of the boards sort of gave out, she did a lift with a guy came down and the board broke and she went down. Pretty funny not gonna lie... happened right in front of me :) Justice comes quickly my friends!

This here is the backside of the cutest couple you'll ever see. Their names are Ruth and Randy. Both on the nerdy side but they fit each other so perfectly! If they don't end up getting married I give up on love.

 Me and Laura wanted something to munch on she wanted carrots, I wanted chips, they were out of chips so I ate carrots with Laura. :) They were yummy and she even found one that looked like a boot!

AnnaLynne tore her ACL and had to have surgery. She's still on crutches but that didn't stop her from dancing. This guy asked her to dance. I thought this was so cute! We all had so much fun! I loved DJing! (even if they all wanted country music...) It was still fun :)

I'm officially an owner of a passport :)

I am one step closer to going on my cruise to Alaska! Turns out we needed a passport to go through Canada. Two weeks and 2 days til I will be leaving!

I now have the hair to match my pink boots!

Last night I decided to switch it up and dye the streak in my hair pink!!! This is the last time I'm going to do something funky with my hair and this time it won't last very long. It's the kind of dye where it washes out. So I won't look like I got attacked by Barbie for long!

The odd things that get me through the day

For Valentines day my mom had this wreath up and then it stormed so the color off of the wreath bled out onto the door. After this happened whenever I saw the door "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis gets stuck in my head! My life is a musical I swear!

Dear Roommates,

There is this thing called communication. I'm in the other room. No need for silly notes, just come talk to me. Stop this anonymous nonsense. I don't bite i promise. (Unless you ask for it....) Yes we all need to do our dishes but you don't give us a chance to do our own. While we're on the subject and note writing maybe I'll write some of my own. Dear Audrey and Jessie, stop leaving your bedroom and the bathroom light on. Dear Brunette roommates clean your dang hair out of the sink! I love you all!

#13 to my bucket list

The other night I went to a collegiate 4-H activity and there I got the perfect idea for number 13 on my bucket list. I want to drop a block, (or two or maybe even three...) blocks of dried ice into a lake. :) How awesome would that be?! Maybe that one will be on my summer to do list!

Lucky Skittles

Tonight turned out to be my lucky night! I am kind of hungry so i caved and decided to buy some candy out of the vending machine. Instead of my usual twix i decided to spice things up a bit and get skittles instead. At first i though it wasn't gonna come out because it got stuck. but then spinny thing it was in kept turning and two came out!!! See how they match my journal oh so nicely :)

It's amazing how things work on the internet these days. My first thought when this happened was I gotta put this as my facebook status!!! ooo i should put this on my blog! Pretty redunkulous and random i know. Maybe i should change my blog title as "what goes on in that girl in the pink boots mind". na! too long i'll keep it the way it is.  well I hope you are all as easily amused as i am! Am I a thief?

As of today I'm starting to wonder, Am I a thief? Lately I never have a writing utensil with me. So what do i do? I go to work and take one. And sometimes when i go to the bank i steal their pens too but that is usually on accident...
I figure it's gotta be ok to steal the ones at work because their not actually the computer labs pens their the students pens. Students leave their pens behind alllllll the time! We collect like 5 of them a night and stick them in a drawer for students who come up and ask to borrow one. So really it's like a bonus right? Instead of getting extra money i get pens! Because i'm too lazy too look for where all mine went! hehehe... Until next time!
